Speakers - Moishe Gold with Beverly Sobel & Sarah Klaiman
Ozarow Remembered - The Helen Klaiman InterviewAs JGSH member Moishe Gold was researching his ancestral shtetl of Ozarow, Poland, he had a unique opportunity to interview one of its pre-war inhabitants. On August 16, 2001, Moishe spoke to and videotaped his conversation with Helen Klaiman who regaled him with tales of the town, its inhabitants and its horrible fate under the Nazi regime.

While Helen sadly passed away in 2006, her legacy, trials and tribulations live on through this priceless permanent record.

Please join us for a special evening as Moishe joins Helen’s daughters Beverly Sobel & Sarah Klaiman as they reminisce about their ancestral home, the process of creating this video and what it meant to Helen.

Interspersed with the most powerful portions of the interview, Ozarow Remembered will provide a heartwarming look back at this once thriving Jewish community.
