In 1991, a small group of Dundas artists and craftspeople joined together with the idea of creating an artistic venue for local talent. That fledgling show and dream has now become one of the most respected and successful showcases of fine art and craft in Southern Ontario.
This year the Studio Tour features beautiful pottery, award-winning jewellery, the finest in fashion, printmaking, painting and garden art, along with weaving and woodworking. There is something to capture everyone's imagination.
Each year the tour has a theme as a focal point. This year's theme is "Close to the Heart.” As artists, we spend many hours alone, with our creations as our companions. Juggling the challenges of the past year with our art and our livelihoods has left many of us with a new appreciation of our lifestyle, and our connection to the beautiful valley town of Dundas.
The connections the tour shares with the local merchants who support us, and the natural beauty of forests and waterfalls that surround us, provide inspiration in the creative process. These connections also remind us of the value of keeping the people and places we treasure close to the heart.
This year's tour takes place Oct. 2 and 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at four locations in the heart of Dundas. It is designed so that you can easily walk between all of our venues with an opportunity to see and purchase the work of sixteen outstanding artists.

It is a smaller tour than in previous years, as we want to ensure a relaxing and spacious atmosphere while adhering to COVID-19 protocols. Treat yourself to a wonderful day in our treasure of a town, amid the glory of autumn colours at their peak.
Have a fine lunch or dinner at one of our many superb restaurants and visit our unique shops. Art creates connections. We look forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time, and sharing the fruits of our labour.
